Overview
INDICA project relies the design and realization of
a forklift motion-based driving simulator. The simulator can reply on the
driver the physiological feelings produced by the vehicle dynamic
(acceleration, breaking, steering, etc.); the driver can control the simulator
by using primary commands (steering wheel, pedals, leverages) obtaining the
same physic sensations that he would perceive if he was driving a real
forklift. Typical paper mill scenarios are digitally reproduced;they are showed
in the front and the rear side of the driver by the means of a visualization
system. This permitt to simulate both the forward and rear driving of the
vehicle.
